Clearly I'm not as computer savy as I thought

For some reason, I just spent far too much time trying to post to this blog. I'm currently two of the contributors and a follower of this blog. Shawn, if you could take off the Topher that doesn't say that I'm male, that would be great.

Anyway, I'm still on the island, hence the lack of communication. I'm getting better though. I'm even blogging now. It's a lot quieter now. Imagine a small island that usually contains 120 employees and 300 guests. Now we have about 72 employees and 60 guests. Maybe 100 by now. It's pretty empty. The lack of, well everyone, makes me miss all of the people who aren't here, particularly you guys, though I can't seem to figure out who LG is. I miss Oberlin. I was chatting with Elle on AIM the other day and she was talking about how she wishes she wasn't there and I was talking about how I wish I was. Still, the quiet does have it's advantages. I've made a lot of headway on planning the rest of the year, and I've even called my parents (the third time I've talked with them since June when I got to the island). Maybe tomorrow I'll do some research about health insurance.

As for my grand tour, it's starting to take shape. I'm currently amassing a list of people that I can stay with and I'll be working on when they might be able to put me up for a few days. This is my method of getting to see people and also delaying the point when I need to get a job. Hopefully tomorrow I'll send out a giant email to everyone that I want to make a point of visiting. That way I can get updates on how they are doing, where they are, when I can visit them, and whether they have an available floor.

Until I poke my head up again...

Good to have you here, Topher!

You know if your tour takes you through New York, Emily and I will take care of you.

Welcome to the 21st century, my island bound friend! More thoughts here are of course welcome -and Shawn and I can definitely offer hospitality for NYC.
